Who We Are

Helping Hands with Caring Hearts

Bless the Children Today began as an idea generated by one of the families at Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church.  This family had a desire to help supply the needs of school children in the West Branch schools.  They saw that there were children who came to school without proper clothing : shoes, socks, winter jackets, underwear, and the they wanted to do something to help.

They brought the idea of beginning a ministry to help meet these needs to the pastor of their church, who then shared the idea with the rest of the church members.  There was an overwhelming response to the idea and so we began this ministry.

The ministry then expanded beyond the need of the West Branch elementary to encompass both elementary and middle schools at both West Branch and Rose City.

We are currently guided by a committee of seven members & four support members who help plan, structure, and work to meet the needs presented by the children of the school district.

Our team communicates with the counselors of each of the schools, who in turn work with the teachers in the classrooms, to help determine and communicate the needs of the children in their classes.
